hosting365.ie offers step
by step, screen shot instructions on how to configure Outlook 2000
to retrieve your email. We hope this helps!
Microsoft Outlook 2000 may
be configured to retrieve your email messages from your email account
at your domain name. Once Outlook is configured for your email account,
you can send and receive email using this program, as well as set
up processing rules and organize your email messages on your desktop.
The following outlines a basic procedure to perform this configuration.
Step 1
Launch the Outlook 2000 program. Select Tools/Accounts
from the menu bar.
Step 2
This should bring you to the screen labeled Internet Accounts.
Click on "Add... " A new screen, Add Mail Account.

Step 3
The window, Mail Account Properties, will be generated. In the "General"
menu, fill in the appropriate information. You will need to give
the profile a name by which it may be identified under "Mail Account"
and then indicate a friendly name and company name for your email
address account. Under "Email address" be sure to enter your new
email address.

Step 4
Now select the "Servers" tab.

- In the "incoming mail (POP3)" section enter the name of the
host.ie POP3 server assigned to your host.ie email accounts. An
example incoming mail server is mail3.hosting365.ie, though as
hosting365.ie hosts multiple mail servers, please use the one
assigned to your account in your "Welcome to hosting365.ie!" welcome
message.
- In the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" field enter your mail server -
typically mail.yourdomain.com
- Under "Account name" and "Password" enter the full address of
your hosting365.ie email account and the corresponding password.
- Check the "Remember password" box so that you need not authenticate
yourself each time you check your email.
Step 5
Now select "Connection" and choose the type of Internet connection
that you use for the your computer. You may leave the "Advanced"
tab with its default settings.
Step 6
You are now finished with the configuration! Click on "Apply" to
invoke the changes you have made, and you may now click on the Send/Receive
button on the main panel (see Step 1) to download your email from
your Mail account.
