At the moment, you cannot set seperate quotas for ftp logins, although you can add them to sub-domains, which can have seperate space quotas. |

Perhaps this is a question more suited to the H-Sphere forum, anyhow
I have wondered how to do this myself.
You can create FTP users, and limit them to a particular directory, they cannot see above it, but they can fill it up to your limit, say 100MB, or whatever your plan is.
So if you want to allow someone to update a piece of your website, in a folder, they can use your limit.
wwwuser has suggested something, i have created a subdomain, but cannot do what he suggests would he please elaborate. |

With the subdomain, set the quota seperately, then set the sub-domain folder as the location for the ftp sub-user. |

After consultation with psoft on this, there is currently no way to achieve what you require. |

I think that I may have a workaround for this.
Lets say my storage quota is 100MB.
Lets say I want to give my friend just 10MB from that.
I could fill 90MB in my own directories, with anything,
leaving just 10MB free.
However, I need to first ensure that your system will not automatically increase the account quota (and bill for it) in line with uploads.
That is, I need to ensure that an account quota can only be increased manually in the cp, is this correct? |

The space quota is not a 'hard' limit, it allows for 20% 'leeway'. Once you get within 90% utilisation, the system will alert you, and once you get to 120% utilisation, the system will prevent you from uploads. |

Is the leeway gratis?
How much is the additional storage, per MB? |

The 20% is 'gratis' but the system will send you daily warnings, we charge 5c per MB per month for additional space. |
