Hi all,
Mail.hosting365.ie will be unavailable for pop3 and imap connection from approximately 8pm for 2 hours.
This is to facilitate RAM upgrades and software work.
A post will be put here when back online.
Many thanks for your patience and cooperation. |

8pm seemed a bit early for such an important server to be offline for so long, so we pushed back the upgrade work start between 10pm and 11pm BST. The machine is still expected to be offline for two hours.
All services on the machine, including MySQL (the machine is aliased as mysql.hosting365.ie), postgresql (psql.hosting365.ie), and DNS (this machine is ns1.hosting365.ie, but ns2.hosting365.ie will still be there and should work fine for the period this server is offline). |

Server upgrade appears to be complete and successful, except for some issues with postgresql that we're still looking into. |

Would it please be possible to have these sort of notices emailed to all your clients, we can't be expected to check the message board every single day on the off chance that there may be some outages!
This is extremely frustrating if you are a reseller with many clients all relying on you and blaming you for the mail server being down and you don't know why, or didn't have the opportunity to pass the warning on! |

emailing noticification will be good, thanks.
but... i also want to point out that the forum itself was down during the upgrade, so there was no way to check the messages...
would it be possible to have the forum in the same space as the main hosting365 site? then it won't ever go down, right? |

Hi Heather,
An excellent point, and the reason why we will be moving these forums to a completely seperate network over the next week. To ensure that they are available even if our entire main network was not |
